493rd Balloon Sculpture, Mary Poppins

I made this for a wedding recently.

This is a Patricia Balloona original balloonification of this character.

She stood at over 6 ft. tall.

Luckily there were no POPS in Poppins during delivery, lol.

I kind of liked the artsy feel of her face being left blank so I left it blank.

Hope you like it and Happy Twisting!

  1. I like it! I think the blank face is a good idea when there is so much detail. Sometimes we add fancy faces and they actually draw attention right to the fact – rather than the overall impact of the sculpture. Good choice! I’m like Heather in the first reply – started this way too late in life. But so much wonderful inspiration to draw on from you folks who are so very talented!

  2. I’ve been following your balloon career since you started. Great job on all your projects. I’ve enjoyed the progression of improvement of your craft. I only wish I could have discovered this career when I was younger. I’m enjoying what I do now and it’s enough, but good for you that you have many happy ballooning years ahead!

    • Thank you so much! I never really time myself, lol. I know that she was done in one morning. I like just being in flow and just knowing what my deadline is, okay I have to be done by this time, lrts see what I can make happen. As long as I make the deadline, I don’t really pay attention, lol.

  3. Amazing work!!!!!’ But why oh why did you do loop hands you would see on a line work design?!?! Blank face probably a good idea, or you could just slap a pic of Julie Andrews’ mug on there hahaha. Hope all is well!
