I made Nifty Balloons’ Elephant mask and it was a lot of fun to make.

I find these masks to be very fun to make and find that they get huge reactions from people. Once you get the proportions down, it is super doable. This one didn’t even require a sidewall bubble, lol. A lot of them do, so you will want to become one with the sidewall bubble, and with practice you will.
I gave this mask to a friend on a playdate and it turns out that on her honeymoon, she and her husband went to an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and they got to play and feed and participate in taking care of baby elephants that were going through rehabilitation as they were mistreated and abused. Do I have awesome friends or what?!
I could not have given this to a more fitting home! She has pictures and knick knacks of elephants all throughout her house too. It is sooo cool. I didn’t realize this and know about all this when I gave it to her and learned about it afterwards.
They just loved it and that made me feel sooo happy. There is a magic that happens when you decide to take a balloon you’ve made somewhere and give it away, it just seems to never fail to match someone perfectly and like a magnet, the balloons just find the perfect home. You are an unknowing vessel and that makes it even better.
Below are pictures of my replication. My husband modeling below.
I’m not really an Elephant Man. ACTING! (Jon Lovitz SNL reference)
